Responsibilities
- Coordinate county-wide emergency health responses within 24-hour activation windows
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies across multiple platforms
- Manage public health resource allocation during surge events
- Train and deploy volunteer emergency response networks
- Collaborate with hospitals, schools, and community organizations
- Prepare rapid-response reports for county leadership and media
- Ensure compliance with CDC and state health department protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health crisis response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes situations under pressure
- Experience with public health data analysis tools
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Fluency in Spanish highly desirable
