Responsibilities
- Develop and execute county-wide emergency response protocols for public health incidents
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during disaster response activations
- Lead risk assessment and vulnerability analysis for at-risk populations
- Train healthcare workers and community leaders on emergency procedures
- Manage public communication campaigns during health emergencies
- Analyze post-event data to improve future response strategies
- Secure grant funding for emergency preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of emergency management or public health response experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) designation required
- Experience with incident command systems (ICS/NIMS)
- Proven grant writing and budget management skills
- Ability to work 24/7 rotations during emergency activations
- Valid Washington State driver's license
