Responsibilities
- Coordinate rapid response protocols for public health emergencies including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and execute community vaccination and testing initiatives across Milwaukee County
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to align emergency response strategies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform resource allocation and policy recommendations
- Lead public education campaigns on emergency preparedness and health equity
- Manage cross-functional teams during crisis situations ensuring operational continuity
- Prepare and maintain emergency response plans and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher required
- Proven expertise in data analysis using public health surveillance systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations with minimal notice
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation for field deployments
