Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of food establishments, childcare centers, and public facilities
- Investigate health complaints and enforce regulatory compliance
- Issue citations and prepare detailed violation reports
- Provide public education on health standards and disease prevention
- Collaborate with state and county health agencies
- Testify in legal proceedings regarding regulatory violations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or related field
- Valid California Public Health Inspector certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in regulatory inspection
- Knowledge of CA Food & Safety codes and HACCP principles
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Valid California driver's license
