Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of food establishments, childcare facilities, and public swimming pools
- Investigate public health complaints and enforce local/state health regulations

- Educate business owners on compliance requirements and best practices
- Collaborate with epidemiologists during disease outbreak investigations
- Testify as expert witness in regulatory violation hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Florida Registered Sanitarian (RS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years regulatory inspection experience
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in health data management systems (e.g., SIMS, EHS)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
