Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of food establishments, childcare facilities, and public accommodations
- Investigate public health complaints and outbreaks
- Enforce health codes and regulations through documentation and follow-up
- Educate business owners and staff on compliance requirements
- Collaborate with epidemiologists during disease surveillance
- Maintain detailed inspection reports and databases

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of inspection or regulatory compliance experience
- Valid Michigan Public Health Inspector certification
- Strong knowledge of Michigan Public Health Code
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently in diverse environments
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Proficiency with health data management systems
