Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based public health policies aligned with state and federal regulations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement public health emergency response plans
- Prepare comprehensive reports and legislative briefings for senior leadership and policymakers
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal requirements
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote health equity and access to services
- Mentor junior analysts and coordinate interagency task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health policy analysis
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis using statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS)
- Proven track record developing evidence-based health interventions
- Familiarity with Oregon public health systems and state regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for policy audiences
- Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Experience managing federal grant-funded projects preferred
