- Conduct thorough interviews with cases, contacts, and healthcare providers
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify transmission patterns
- Implement containment strategies and coordinate with healthcare facilities
- Document investigations with detailed reports and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with local health departments and state agencies
- Provide public health education to affected communities
- Respond to urgent public health alerts 24/7 on rotation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or related field
- 2+ years of public health investigation or clinical experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools
- Certification in Epidemiology (e.g., CPH) preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations
- Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting protocols
