Responsibilities
- Conduct immunization clinics and health screenings across Sedgwick County
- Investigate and report communicable disease outbreaks per CDC protocols
- Delocate health education programs in underserved Wichita communities
- Coordinate emergency response during public health crises
- Maintain accurate patient records and health surveillance data
- Collaborate with schools, clinics, and non-profits on health initiatives
- Provide direct patient care in county health facilities
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- 2+ years public health or community nursing experience
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
