Responsibilities
- Conduct immunization clinics and health screenings at community centers
- Provide maternal/child health education and case management
- Investigate disease outbreaks and implement intervention protocols
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers for patient referrals
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in state systems
- Lead public health awareness campaigns in underserved areas
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years public health or community nursing experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (required)
- Certification in Public Health Nursing (PHN) preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
