Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health outreach programs targeting underserved populations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate preventive care screenings
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention
- Conduct needs assessments and compile epidemiological data
- Train community health workers on culturally competent outreach techniques
- Coordinate with local government agencies for resource allocation
- Organize health fairs and educational workshops across Orleans Parish
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare impact reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in community health outreach or public program coordination
- Certification in Public Health (CPH) or Community Health Education (CHES)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, Excel) and GIS mapping
- Exceptional bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese)
- Demonstrated experience managing federal/state grant programs
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Deep knowledge of New Orleans' cultural landscape and healthcare resources
