Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data trends to inform policy development and legislative recommendations
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to coordinate public health initiatives
- Develop evidence-based policy proposals addressing health disparities and emergency preparedness
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and healthcare providers
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for city council and public hearings
- Monitor implementation of public health legislation and evaluate program effectiveness
- Manage grant-funded projects supporting community health infrastructure
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government or public health policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Deep knowledge of Louisiana public health regulations and FEMA protocols
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy documents and public reports
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
