Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data and policy trends to inform public health initiatives
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health policies targeting Philadelphia's diverse communities
- Collaborate with city agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers on health equity projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for city council and department leadership
- Manage grant-funded programs focused on chronic disease prevention and health access
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions to gather community input on health priorities
- Monitor implementation of local health ordinances and recommend improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health policy analysis or program evaluation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and health informatics systems
- Deep understanding of social determinants of health and health equity principles
- Experience with grant writing and managing public health programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information
- Knowledge of Philadelphia's public health landscape and community resources
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (required for field visits)
