Responsibilities
- Analyze local health data trends to identify emerging public health threats and opportunities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county commissioners and community stakeholders
- Coordinate interagency initiatives to address health disparities across Omaha neighborhoods
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public health advisory boards
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Stay current with federal healthcare regulations and state-level policy changes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and compliance reporting
- Strong understanding of CDC guidelines and healthcare policy frameworks
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to draft policy briefs
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
