Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends and develop actionable policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design equitable health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals for government approval
- Monitor implementation of public health programs and evaluate impact metrics
- Secure grant funding by developing compelling funding proposals aligned with health priorities
- Present findings to elected officials and community leaders using data visualization
- Stay current with federal/state health regulations and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in securing competitive health grants
- Deep understanding of Louisiana's healthcare landscape and disparities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with community engagement methodologies
