Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify community health trends and inform program strategies
- Manage program budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure fiscal accountability
- Coordinate with community partners, healthcare providers, and local government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and state health departments
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Title X and HIPAA regulations
- Supervise program staff and provide mentorship in public health best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and health information systems
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Strong understanding of California public health regulations and Title X requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data
- Experience managing federal grant-funded programs and budgets
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
