Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health promotion
- Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with county policies and state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams including epidemiologists, community health workers, and data analysts
- Develop partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Monitor program outcomes using data analytics and prepare reports for county leadership
- Advise on public health policy development and emergency response protocols
- Represent Maricopa County in regional health initiatives and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health program management experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proven experience with grant writing and federal/state funding applications
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in health data analysis tools
- Experience developing community health interventions in diverse populations
- Knowledge of Arizona public health regulations and CDC guidelines
- Excellent communication skills for public presentations and stakeholder engagement
