Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and local government agencies to coordinate outreach efforts
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform program development
- Develop educational materials and conduct health promotion activities for diverse populations
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget tracking and reporting requirements
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership and federal partners
- Stay current with public health policies and emerging health threats
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation or community health initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder engagement
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state reporting requirements
- Knowledge of Indiana public health systems and healthcare landscape
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
