Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health programs targeting vulnerable populations in Chicago
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform program development
- Coordinate with local health departments, nonprofits, and community stakeholders to drive collaborative initiatives
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets to ensure sustainable funding
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback
- Create educational materials and training sessions for healthcare providers and community members
- Advise on public health policy recommendations to state legislators and department leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program management or community health initiatives
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health information systems
- Demonstrated experience writing successful grant proposals and managing federal/state grants
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and Illinois public health regulations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel within Chicago metro area
