Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze public health data to identify trends and potential outbreaks
- Develop and implement community health education programs and campaigns
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community organizations on health initiatives
- Investigate public health complaints and conduct risk assessments
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to public officials
- Stay current with federal, state, and local public health regulations
- Participate in emergency response planning and public health crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public health or healthcare administration experience
- Strong data analysis and statistical interpretation skills
- Experience with public health reporting systems (e.g., NEDSS, WISQARS)
- Valid Nevada driver's license and ability to travel throughout the city
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Nevada public health codes
