Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health outreach programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to improve health access
- Manage grant applications and compliance for public health initiatives
- Conduct health education workshops and distribute educational materials
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and state health department
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R)
- Valid Louisiana Public Health Certification
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
