Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate with community partners to deliver health education workshops and screenings
- Manage grant-funded projects related to chronic disease prevention and environmental health
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state health department compliance and public transparency
- Lead crisis response coordination during public health emergencies
- Maintain accurate health surveillance databases and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state reporting requirements
- Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong written communication skills for policy development
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
