Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and outbreak investigations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and community needs
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote health education initiatives
- Monitor compliance with state health regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage grant-funded projects and allocate resources efficiently
- Train healthcare providers on public health best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification (PHR) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and state health regulations
- Experience managing grants and budgets over $500,000
- Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholder groups
