Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Detroit's underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform intervention strategies
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to coordinate health services
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct health education workshops and outreach events for diverse populations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders and policymakers
- Monitor program effectiveness using KPIs and adjust strategies based on community feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and health information systems
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and Michigan public health regulations
- Experience managing community health initiatives in urban settings
- Valid Michigan driver's license with reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation a plus
