Responsibilities
- Develop and execute evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity initiatives
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance, data analysis, and prepare comprehensive health impact assessments
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships to address social determinants of health in underserved communities
- Design and deliver culturally competent health education workshops and outreach campaigns
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget oversight, reporting, and compliance monitoring
- Advocate for policy changes that promote environmental health and access to preventive care services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health initiatives
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping software
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with reliable transportation for fieldwork
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Public Health Certified (PHC) designation
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations and community-based organizations
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills with $50k+ project experience
