Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting community health disparities
- Coordinate emergency response efforts for disease outbreaks and public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and inform strategic health interventions
- Collaborate with community organizations to deliver health education and outreach initiatives
- Monitor compliance with local and state public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Prepare grant proposals and manage budgets for health program funding
- Represent the department at community events and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and health data privacy regulations
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
