Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform intervention strategies
- Coordinate with community organizations and healthcare providers to deliver health education
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health policy recommendations
- Lead emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Train staff on public health best practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of CDC and Louisiana Department of Health guidelines
- Experience managing federal/state public health grants
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
