Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies targeting chronic disease prevention and health education
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health crises including pandemics and environmental hazards
- Analyze population health data to identify disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Manage community outreach initiatives across diverse Chicago neighborhoods
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve access to preventive services
- Lead inter-agency task forces addressing social determinants of health
- Prepare grant proposals and manage federal/state public health funding
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- 3+ years experience in government/public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Proven crisis management and emergency response coordination
- Experience developing health equity initiatives in urban settings
- Strong grant writing and budget management capabilities
- Valid Illinois driver's license
