Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health interventions targeting Mesa's underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-sector partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Develop educational materials and lead health literacy campaigns across multiple platforms
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and recommend policy improvements
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets up to $500,000
- Represent Maricopa County at regional health coalitions and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Bachelor's with 3+ years relevant experience considered)
- 3+ years of experience in community health program implementation
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS) and health data visualization tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state public health funding mechanisms
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation for field work
- Knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes Title 36 (Public Health Code)
