Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and prepare outbreak response protocols
- Collaborate with community partners to design accessible vaccination and screening initiatives
- Analyze public health data to identify emerging health trends and recommend interventions
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities with local healthcare providers
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Experience with emergency response protocols (NIMS/ICS preferred)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish required
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
