Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct community health assessments and epidemiological surveillance to identify emerging health trends
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to coordinate health initiatives
- Design and deliver culturally competent health education workshops and outreach campaigns
- Analyze public health data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic planning
- Secure grant funding and manage budgets for public health initiatives
- Represent the department in community forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience developing health education materials for diverse populations
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid Arizona driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events as needed
