Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health promotion
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Collaborate with community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate health initiatives
- Develop educational materials and conduct outreach activities to improve health literacy among diverse populations
- Monitor program effectiveness through data collection, evaluation metrics, and performance reporting
- Advise policymakers on public health regulations and resource allocation decisions
- Lead crisis response efforts during public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health coordination
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and health data visualization tools
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with reliable transportation for field visits
- Demonstrated experience working with underserved communities and cultural competency
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Public Health Professional (CPH) preferred
- Knowledge of Kentucky public health regulations and Medicaid programs
