Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Collaborate with community organizations to deliver health education initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and health commission meetings
- Mentor junior staff and supervise program implementation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health program management experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal grant administration
- Demonstrated commitment to health equity and cultural competency
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive data access
