Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health intervention strategies
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Conduct community health assessments and data analysis for program planning
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local government, healthcare providers, and community organizations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Provide health education and training to vulnerable populations
- Monitor epidemiological trends and report findings to state authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program implementation experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel throughout Bexar County
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting requirements
- Experience with emergency preparedness planning and response
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
