Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging public health threats and trends
- Design and implement community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Lead inter-agency task forces addressing chronic disease prevention and mental health initiatives
- Develop grant proposals and manage federal/state public health funding allocations
- Conduct health impact assessments for city planning and policy development
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in government or nonprofit public health administration
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping software
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated experience developing culturally competent health interventions
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse community stakeholders
