Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health promotion
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize interventions
- Collaborate with community organizations to deliver culturally competent health education
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct health assessments and prepare actionable reports for policy development
- Lead emergency response initiatives during public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interdepartmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement strategies
- Knowledge of Philadelphia's public health landscape and demographics
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and ability to travel citywide
