We're seeking a passionate Public Health Specialist to lead initiatives addressing health equity, disease prevention, and community outreach. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop evidence-based programs that serve diverse populations across King County.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health education campaigns targeting vulnerable communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community organizations to deliver outreach programs
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets for health initiatives
- Conduct community needs assessments and evaluate program effectiveness
- Advise policymakers on public health strategies and regulatory recommendations
- Lead crisis response efforts during public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS or R
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Knowledge of Washington State public health regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Washington State driver's license
