Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health education campaigns targeting diverse populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and analyze health data trends
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health interventions
- Collaborate with community organizations to address health disparities
- Manage grant-funded health programs and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide expert guidance on infectious disease prevention and control
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county officials and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Experience managing federal/state grants preferred
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) designation a plus
