Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Coordinate cross-sector partnerships for health initiatives and resource allocation
- Develop grant proposals and secure funding for community health programs
- Conduct community needs assessments and program evaluations
- Prepare detailed reports for policymakers and public health leadership
- Supervise outreach staff and volunteer health advocates
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or nonprofit public health roles
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Valid DC government security clearance upon hire
- Demonstrated experience with community-based participatory research
- Knowledge of DC's public health infrastructure and regulations
- Strong written communication skills for policy briefs and grant writing
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly preferred
