Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health intervention programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency response activities during public health crises (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend strategic interventions
- Develop community partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profit organizations
- Prepare detailed reports on program outcomes and health metrics for state leadership
- Lead public health education campaigns across diverse cultural communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Bachelor's with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years public health program implementation experience
- Texas Department of State Health Services certification preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish required
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel throughout Bexar County
- Experience with emergency management protocols (NIMS/ICS certification a plus)
