Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health education programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and emerging threats
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community organizations for outreach initiatives
- Develop grant proposals and manage budgets for public health projects
- Conduct health assessments and prepare compliance reports for state/federal agencies
- Lead crisis response activities during public health emergencies
- Train public health staff on new protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willing to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
