Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data analytics tools
- Develop policy briefs and recommendations for executive leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on emerging public issues
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting Nebraska operations
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder groups
- Manage grant compliance and reporting for state-funded programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis or government experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Demonstrated experience with legislative research methodologies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Knowledge of Nebraska state government operations preferred
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
