Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for council review
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces to implement city-wide initiatives
- Present findings to stakeholders through executive briefings and public hearings
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes using KPI tracking systems
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $2M annually
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and DC municipal codes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years analyzing government operations or policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated experience drafting legislative language or regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of DC's Home Rule Charter and administrative procedures
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for security clearance
