Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls via 911 and non-emergency lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precision and urgency
- Maintain accurate incident logs and radio communications
- Utilize CAD/RMS systems for real-time tracking
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Participate in continuous training drills and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1-year public safety or customer service experience
- Valid Arizona Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Clear background check and polygraph examination
- Proficiency in multi-tasking under high-pressure conditions
