Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide clear, concise instructions to first responders
- Operate radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Collaborate with cross-agency communication teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10pm-6am)
- Typing speed 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- EMT or prior dispatch experience highly desirable
