Responsibilities
- Monitor public spaces and respond to emergency incidents during weekend shifts
- Enforce city ordinances and state regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies during multi-jurisdictional operations
- Document incidents using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Provide community outreach and education during weekend events and festivals
- Operate specialized equipment including communication devices and emergency vehicles
- Participate in continuous training for disaster response and crisis management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in Criminal Justice preferred
- Minimum 2 years public safety or security experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedules (Fri-Sun, 12-hour shifts)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Certification in CPR/First Aid and emergency management
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident reporting software
