Responsibilities
- Design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage project budgets and timelines using municipal software systems
- Prepare reports for city council and public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum 3 years of municipal engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
- Knowledge of Virginia Department of Transportation standards
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Ability to obtain a Class C driver's license
