Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, cost estimates, and construction specifications
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including FDOT standards
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and interdepartmental teams for seamless project execution
- Conduct field inspections and quality control assessments throughout construction phases
- Develop and maintain project documentation including reports, permits, and compliance records
- Utilize CAD software and GIS systems for design and analysis
- Present project updates to city officials and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience in public works or municipal projects
- Valid Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS platforms, and project management software
- Demonstrated knowledge of FDOT standards and local permitting processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
