Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and blueprints
- Review engineering plans and permit applications
- Document findings in detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city departments
- Conduct field surveys and verify material quality
- Investigate public complaints related to infrastructure
- Maintain accurate inspection records and databases
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years construction inspection experience
- ICBO certification or equivalent
- Valid California driver's license
- Proficiency in CAD and GIS software
- Strong knowledge of California building codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
