Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform routine maintenance on parks, streets, and public facilities
- Assist in stormwater drainage system inspections and repairs
- Support waste management operations and recycling initiatives
- Implement erosion control measures for construction sites
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams during city events
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License (Class A/B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Successful background check and drug screening
